At Washington Christian Academy, we believe education is a partnership between home, church, and school. Since our founding in 1960, our mission has been to educate covenant children from a Reformed Christian perspective, developing students’ God-given abilities so that they may occupy their places worthily in society, church, and state.

Covenant Partnership

We are a covenant school. Covenant means God’s promises to His people and the commitment parents make to raise their children in the faith. At WCA, this means:

• Families are active members of a local Christian church.
• Parents desire a Christ-centered education for their children.
• We work together—school, home, and church—to equip students to live faithfully and purposefully in every area of life.

To apply to Washington Christian Academy, families must:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Submit the non-refundable $100 application fee.
3. Provide academic records, assessments and recommendations (as requested).
4. Have the student complete a readiness or placement assessment (if required)
5. Participate in a family interview with school leadership.

Application Deadlines:

Applications open for the 26-27 academic year on October 1st.

Priority Admission Deadline for New Families:

Admission and Tuition Assistance Applications due by January 18th

Acceptance Offers for priority applications will be notified on February 20th.

Applications will remain open until all seats are filled. 

For the application to be considered fully complete, you will need the following documentation:

• Completed online application including application fee. Applications are not processed until the $100 application fee is paid (except for alumni children).  This fee is non-refundable.

• Copy of birth certificate.

• Pastor’s Recommendation – This form should be completed by the Pastor of your church, a minister in your church, or ministry leader in the church you attend. This can be sent directly to your Pastor from your Admission portal by entering and submitting their name and email address.

• School Records (at least two years of information: report cards, standardized test results and other professional records, such as testing, counseling, special education (i.e. Individual Education Plan, 504, etc.). Use this form to have copies of the applicant’s records sent from his/her current school to WCA. Please submit this form to your child’s school.

• Student Questionnaire – For students applying for grades 7-12. 

• Teacher Recommendation Forms

Fill out the top portion and submit to your child’s current or last year’s teacher to fill out.

• Teacher Recommendation Grades K-2

• Teacher Recommendation Grades 3-6

• Teacher Recommendation Grades 7-11

These can be sent directly to the teachers from your Admission portal by entering and submitting their name and email address. 

The Admission Office will contact you to schedule the following:

• Parent Interview with member of the Admission Committee

Admission Testing MAY be required.

Enrollment information is sent shortly after acceptance notifications. Students are considered to be fully enrolled once the following steps are completed.  

This includes:

• Online enrollment packet is filled out and signed.

• A non-refundable enrollment fee of $600 is paid online. 

• Online FACTS registration is set up for chosen payment plan.

• Tuition Assistance is accepted (if applicable)

Immunization Requirements

All new students are required to submit full immunization records.

All incoming kindergarteners and students entering grades 6 and 9– new or not–must submit full immunization records if they are not already on file with WCA.
