I have been so honored to join Washington Christian, and to see and experience how the Lord has worked among you. This is a special community, and I have observed you in action: parents in prayer, students about their studies, and teachers planning to even better meet the needs of students and guide them in growth and righteousness.
I see a culture, a community, here at school, marked by grace and care, guiding students and growing with them, yet also holding up God’s truth and Christ’s holiness as our ultimate ends. In Corinthians we read, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof.” Only in the Christian academy can knowledge and truth meet in such a comprehensive way, which by the Spirit has real power to not only teach children to be curious, lifelong learners, but see themselves in right relation to their Creator.
If you are a parent, you may be investigating schooling options for your children. It is well that you do--their raising and education is one of your highest obligations before the Lord. Very recently, my wife and I did a similar investigation, and the Lord led us here, to WCA. This is our first choice of where we want to serve the Lord, and the only kind of school of which I would want to be a part. My hope is it would become a home for you as well.
