The following guidelines serve as general expectations for
each student:
Be on Time
Students should arrive in time for the start of class, ready
to begin. Arriving late disrupts classroom procedures and
adversely affects the student’s and others’ learning.
Be Prepared
Students should bring whatever items are necessary for their
particular class: pens, pencils, notebooks, calculators, textbooks,
agenda, gym clothes or musical instrument.
Be Involved
Students should participate actively in the work of the class,
completing all activities and assignments prepared for the
class by the teacher. Students are not automatically excused
from such assignments because of absences; only the teacher
can release students from their academic obligations. If a
quiz or test is scheduled, all students should come to class
expecting to take it, even if absent the day before, unless
they have made prior arrangement with the teacher. Students
are expected to keep careful track of assignments and tests
using the student agenda supplied by the school. If absent,
a student can easily check with a classmate by telephone or
e-mail about upcoming assignments, quizzes or tests.
