Spanish I
This class introduces and emphasizes fundamental listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Students will learn everyday vocabulary, basic grammar, and explore the culture and history of the Hispanic/Latino world. Basic practice helps to develop accuracy in using the language and prepares students to transition into more advanced communicative tasks.
Spanish II
This class reviews, reinforces and adds to the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, grammatical structures and vocabulary learned in Spanish I. Students will continue to explore cultural and historical aspects of the Hispanic/Latino world. Spanish II places more emphasis on free oral expression and self-motivated and self-directed learning. The purpose of this course is to help students achieve this goal by motivating students to want to communicate and want to learn more about Spanish language.

Spanish III
This class reviews, reinforces and adds to the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, grammatical structures and vocabulary learned in Spanish II. Spanish III places even more of an emphasis on culture and free oral expression. The purpose of this course is to prepare students to understand and use the Spanish language in daily activities.
Spanish IV
This class reviews the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, grammatical structures and vocabulary learned in all previous levels of the language. Hispanic culture and history is further explored through the reading of more sophisticated works of literature in Spanish. Spanish IV places even more of an emphasis on free oral expression, self-motivated and self-directed learning and reading, and effective communication with native Spanish speakers. By the end of Spanish IV, students are ready to understand all conversation and use the Spanish language in any situation.
