The Upper School Experience Overview

The Upper School experience, by consciously building a Christian worldview into the students, prepares our students to live thoughtful, reflective Christian lives in the larger world and to be leaders in institutions of higher learning, Christian and non-Christian, here and abroad. Students pursue a rigorous college-preparatory program that includes course work in Theology, English, History, Science, Mathematics, and Spanish, with elective offerings in Computer Graphics, Art, Photography, Drama, Yearbook, and Physical Education. They hone their leadership skills in a variety of arenas: through participating in student government, theater productions and on athletic teams, through organizing and working on service projects, and by planning and conducting chapels throughout the year.

Unique Thesis and Internship Program

The Senior Thesis and Internship program challenges our seniors to think critically and Christianly about a topic of particular interest to them and then to explore how that issue is played out in the workplace. All this is done in a friendly, challenging environment where faculty and students together pursue “the good, the true, and the beautiful,” all to the glory of God.

Many Leadership Opportunities

Upper School students hone their leadership skills in a variety of arenas: through participating in student government, theater productions and on athletic teams, through organizing and working on service projects, and by planning and conducting chapels throughout the year.
