Students will be introduced to the Latin language through a format that first solidifies their understanding of English grammar and then makes connections to Latin grammar and vocabulary. By the end of the course, students will be reading and writing simple stories in Latin.

Students will learn new Latin grammar and vocabulary primarily through a reading-based approach, using the textbook Ecce Romani Ib. Language acquisition will be achieved in the context of learning about the culture and mythology of the ancient Romans.
