Teacher aides support each of the Lower School classrooms in many ways including assisting with lessons, helping to coordinate activities, and providing individualized and smaller group instruction.
The youngest of the Lower School students eat in a separate area with appropriate sized lunch tables and extra care and attention.
The second and third grade classes combine for these two special activities during the year. The play utilizes excerpts from William Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar." At the festival the students enjoy both food and games heralding from Greek and Roman
times.
The first and fifth grade classes pair up, each first grader being assigned to a fifth grade "buddy". The fifth graders help with special projects and provide extra support and encouragement to their first grade friends. This is a highlight for both grades!
The Lower School as a whole counts down to, and then celebrates, the 100th day of school. Each class has special activities, such as wearing hats with 100 things attached.
