Educational Approach
We believe that all truth originates in God. Our two sources of knowledge are the created order, which we bravely explore, and the revealed Word of God, as interpreted by the confessions of the Reformed tradition. The natural outcome of this approach is the shaping of character as well as intellect after the mind of Christ.
G. K. Chesterton once wrote, “Education is not a subject, and it does not deal in subjects. It is instead the transfer of a way of life.” Every day at Washington Christian Academy, we are about the business of transferring a way of life to our students. It is a way of life that develops intellectual gifts, artistic genius, athletic talents, moral fiber, and spiritual vitality. It is a way of life that remembers our heritage of faith and the sacrifices of those who have gone before us. It is a way of life that lives each day as an expression of gratitude for the grace that is ours in Christ Jesus. It is a way of life that loves and serves Christ by loving and serving our neighbors. It is a way of life that gives hope. It is a way of life that turns dreams into realities.
