Part of the adventure at Washington Christian Academy is being a member of our wonderfully diverse community of families. Students get to know and become friends, classmates, and teammates with students from many different races, backgrounds, and cultures. Because the school is not large, friend groups don't only exist within affinity groups but cross many different boundaries.
This cross connection means that our students know each other, not as distant stereotypes, but as individuals. And because they get to know each other so well, barriers quickly fall. As we heard one graduating senior recently say, he was seeking college experiences that reflected the same racial and cultural richness of WCA. Becoming one community with members coming from such different backgrounds isn't always easy, but it is always adventurous and rewarding! And, we know it is just what the Lord would want us to do!
